Yes, our primary responsibilities are within the four walls of the store on Bethlehem Rd. But whenever our North Country communities sound the call for help, we answer — and we bring our employees with us! Every Co-op employees receives 24 hours of paid volunteer time each calendar year to work with local non-profits because we don’t want you to have to sacrifice wages to participate in giving back. Co-op employees have volunteered at Second Chance Animal Rescue, The Colonial Theatre, Veterans2Veterans Group, The Loading Dock, Granite United Way, and more. Volunteer opportunities are frequently posted internally.

The Co-op is always putting on fun programming for our members and customers; employees are encouraged to participate, too! Walk in on a cooking demonstration or herbalism class with a local teacher in the Co-op Cafe, and you’ll see at least a couple of employees in the audience mix. When we release tickets for the Annual Meeting or the Farm Tour, Co-op employees are often the first to sign up — usually at a free or discounted rate. The Co-op has arranged for employees to go on exclusive tours of: Robie Farm, 4 Corners Farm, Small Axe Farm, Meadowstone Farm, and more.

We know our employees have great ideas, and we want to hear them! When the Co-op is involved in a special project, we frequently call on our staff for feedback, ideas, and involvement. In 2024, when the Co-op commissioned Super Secret Ice Cream in Bethlehem, NH to create an exclusive batch for our Annual Meeting, it was the employees who voted on the final flavor (called “Honey We Made a Co-op”). In 2025, rek’ -lis brewing company entered into a partnership with the Co-op to create a collaborative beer. Co-op employees were involved in every step from flavor and name ideas, to going to the Bethlehem brewery to mash grains and pour in fresh strawberries.

See you at the Co-op!

“I <3 my part-time job at Littleton Food Co-op. I meet so many interesting people, I am no longer sitting at a desk as I am constantly moving, I get exposure to new local products, I get a discount and best of all I never have to go food shopping or meal planning ever again as I just shop at end of my shift. Its like a Saturday fun social night out and I am being paid for it! Best job ever!” (Peggy, Grocery Clerk)
